I’m Self-Aware Enough to Know I’m Playing Games

Look, I’m not naïve. I know when I’m being difficult. I know when I’m sending mixed signals. I know when I’m leaving you on read for no reason other than my own amusement. And I’ll admit it: it’s a game.

Self-awareness doesn’t always equal self-restraint. Sometimes it just means I know I’m playing and I’m good at it. You can’t call me manipulative when I literally warned you. Don’t like it? Don’t play. But you will, because I make the game impossible to quit.
