How to Make the Night Last Longer

Nights with you feel like they slip through my fingers too fast. One second we’re laughing, the next the clock is mocking me with 3 a.m. and the heaviness of morning creeping closer. If I could, I’d stretch those hours thin until they covered the whole day.

The trick to making the night last longer isn’t really about time. It’s about presence. It’s about lingering in every small detail, the way your hand absentmindedly traces circles on mine, the way your voice dips when you’re tired but still trying to stay awake, the way the silence between us feels like its own kind of conversation. When I slow down and notice those things, the night feels infinite.

I know I can’t stop time. But maybe, if I soak in every piece of you while the world is asleep, it’ll feel like I did.

Final Word: Time doesn’t move slower — love just makes it feel that way.
